GOLDCREST Land & Forestry Group was launched by a trio of well-known forestry specialists. Chartered Surveyors Jon Lambert, Fenning Welstead and Jock Galbraith, who between them have worked in forestry for a total of 70 years, have formed a new partnership operating throughout the UK. The team comprises knowledgeable and dedicated Rural Practice Chartered Surveyors and Chartered Foresters offering a bespoke service, acting independently for clients on forestry and land throughout the UK.
“Our background, experience and unparalleled knowledge of the forestry industry puts us in an excellent position to provide a premium service to the rural sector. Our clients are a mixture of private individuals, businesses and institutional bodies who come to us because of our unrivalled understanding of the forestry market and our ability to steer them through it. We advise the owners of farmland and rural estates and our services include buying and selling forestry and land on behalf of clients, a substantial amount of valuations, asset management and strategic advice,” says Jon.
The characteristics of the business echo the busy, tenacious and inquisitive nature of its namesake, the Goldcrest, which at just 9cm in length is the smallest bird in the UK, favours spruce, fir and pine forests and is known for the fiery stripe on its head. “Forestry is a buoyant growth sector which is currently enjoying unprecedented demand. As a new but thriving business, it’s a very exciting time to be working in this specialist area,” says Jon.
