This productive commercial conifer forest is planted on sloping gradient with an easterly aspect. The crops are generally solid and showing good growth rates. There is a small area which has been affected by storm damage. The best performing crops are on the lower slopes, growth slows at the highest part of the property which is planted with European larch. Altitude ranges from 230 meters to 533 meters above sea level.

The parts of the property which have been planted with mixed broadleaves are highly attractive and enhance the level of natural capital whilst also providing sporting opportunities. Historically, planning permission was approved to construct holiday chalets within the woodland. This planning permission has now lapsed.
