Jon Lambert is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a Registered Valuer. Formerly an Equity Partner and then Senior Director of John Clegg & Co. Jon brings three decades of experience adding value to rural assets, be it for disposal or long term hold. His strengths lie in brokerage and asset management of woods, forestry, residential estates and renewable energy assets. He has overseen the disposal of 150,000 hectares to the value of £700m in Scotland alone in the last 15 years.
Jock Galbraith is a highly experienced Rural Surveyor and RICS Registered Valuer with a distinguished track record in the UK forestry and land markets. Raised in a farming family in the Scottish Borders, Jock possesses a deep, foundational understanding of the rural sector.
His career began in North East Scotland before he moved to Edinburgh, where he established himself as a leading land and forestry broker. Throughout his career, Jock has been instrumental in facilitating sales totaling hundreds of millions of pounds. Whether providing valuations or executing high-value transactions, Jock is recognized for his strategic approach, industry foresight, and ability to act as a trusted advisor to his clients.
Hayden Morrison is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Foresters. His previous roles include Senior Investment Manager at Scottish Woodlands where he provided forestry acquisition advice to a range of clients. Prior to that, Hayden was an Asset Manager at Gresham House where he managed two large scale forestry investment funds totalling 55,000ha.
Ian Barrington is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Foresters and a recognised industry leader with over 30 years of silvicultural experience across the UK. With a high degree of technical expertise at a national level, Ian has a proven capability on the inception, policy framework and delivery of commercial forestry and afforestation projects. He has an eye for detail and is adept in strategic thinking to achieve near-term impact and positive long-term actions to maximise value and benefits of forest assets. Prior to joining Goldcrest, Ian was managing director for a leading forest management company.
Fenning Welstead has over 45 years experience across the forestry sector. Throughout his career, Fenning has demonstrated a deep commitment to the field, serving in leadership roles and actively contributing to the advancement of forestry practices. His tenure as President of the Institute of Chartered Foresters is a testament to his standing and influence within the industry. He is focused on valuations, strategic assessments for clients and mentoring the next generation.
Emily Moore comes from Aberdeenshire with roots in the heart of the farming community. Having begun her career in prime residential sales with Strutt & Parker, Emily later transitioned to John Clegg & Co, where she became an invaluable asset to the forestry sales and acquisitions agency team. Her expertise spans a diverse range of rural transactions, including commercial farms, sporting estates, and properties with renewable, forestry, and natural capital opportunities. Deeply involved in all aspects of forestry and land management, Emily is currently undertaking training to become a RICS Chartered Surveyor.
